Inside Sales & Commercial Operation Specialist
Pleasanton, CA

We’re seeking a self-starter, motivated, and passionate Inside Sales & Customer Operations Specialist to join our expanding U.S. commercial team in Pleasanton, CA. This role requires a curious, hunter-minded individual who thrives on discovering new opportunities, engaging with customers, and helping them find the best solutions for their bioprocess needs. You’ll play a key role in driving lead generation, nurturing relationships, and supporting post-sales operations as part of OPM’s mission to accelerate the growth of our U.S. cell-culture business.
This position will support customer engagement and account development activities across the entire United States, collaborating closely with regional account executives and business development leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive lead generation through CRM and sales-enablement tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Qualify and nurture leads, conduct outbound calls, follow-ups, and customer outreach.
- Proactively hunt for new business opportunities and identify emerging customer needs within target accounts.
- Collaborate with Sr. BD Manager and marketing team to execute targeted campaigns and events.
- Support post-sales activities including PO processing, order tracking, and customer onboarding.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, update opportunities, and support pipeline forecasting.
- Partner with technical sales specialists to align on project needs and account strategy.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives—marketing, operations, and logistics—to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Identify and develop opportunities for upselling or transitioning into field sales roles as the business scales.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field (M.S. a plus).
- 2-4 years of experience in inside sales, customer success, or post-sales support within life sciences or similar technical environments.
- Familiarity with bioprocessing, cell-culture media, or lab consumables preferred.
- Experience using CRM and sales-enablement tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).
- Strong hunter mentality, driven to pursue new leads and exceed targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a curious, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and follow-through.

Territory Account Manager – Cell Culture Media & Services (West Coast & Mid-West, USA)

We are seeking a dynamic, hunter-minded Territory Account Manager to drive OPM’s cell culture media and upstream services business across the West Coast Region. This role is ideal for a go-getter who thrives in customer-facing environments, loves building strong scientific relationships, and is passionate about advancing bioprocessing innovation.
You’ll work closely with key and emerging accounts in San Diego, the Bay Area, and Seattle, managing the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing—while collaborating with our technical sales and business development teams. This position will also cover select states in the Central and Mountain regions (including CO, UT, AZ, NM, KS, and OK), ensuring close coordination and smooth hand-off with the East Coast Territory Manager for national opportunities.
The role requires extensive customer interaction and travel (>50%) across the assigned territory to maintain strong relationships, support on-site visits, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas for OPM’s cell culture media and related upstream solutions.
- Develop and expand a robust customer network across biopharma, CDMO, and biotech accounts.
- Identify and seed new business opportunities through prospecting, scientific discussions, and networking within the bioprocess community.
- Manage the entire sales cycle—from lead qualification and presentations to pricing negotiations and closing deals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Sales Specialists and Marketing to execute campaigns, product launches, and customer events.
- Leverage CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to maintain an accurate pipeline and account strategy.
- Understand customer R&D and manufacturing workflows to tailor media solutions and identify upsell opportunities.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to product management and leadership on customer trends and competitive activity.
- Represent OPM at industry conferences and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate new leads.
Qualifications
- B.S./M.S. in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences field.
- 2–5 years of technical or field sales experience, preferably in upstream cell culture media, bioprocessing consumables, or reagents.
- Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close business within biotech or CDMO accounts.
- Strong understanding of upstream workflows—media optimization, scale-up, and perfusion processes preferred.
- Experience with CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Sales Navigator and LinkedIn.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
